Milo B. Hoeft
Milo B. Hoeft, a lifelong Waukesha resident, died Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at the age of 90. He was born on September 25, 1926, the son of Fred and Dela (nee Wrede) Hoeft in the upstairs front bedroom of the family home on Oakland Avenue in Waukesha.
Milo was a graduate of Waukesha High School and 1950 graduate of Carroll College. He was a United States Army veteran who had served his country in WWII. Milo worked for almost 30 years at the City of Waukesha Assessor’s Office, retiring in 1990. He was a longtime member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Milo will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, Steve Hoeft of Boise, Idaho, Mike (Virginia) Hoeft of Waukesha, Linda Gurr of Boise, Idaho, Jeff (Deborah) Hoeft of Waukesha, and Wendy (James) Koeppl of Boise, Idaho, along with 14 great-nieces and -nephews and 10 great-great-nieces and -nephews. He is further survived by his good friend Joyce Boldt, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Lyle Hoeft.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 22, from 5 p.m. until the time of the 7 p.m. funeral service at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. The Rev. Jason C. Hacker will preside. Graveside services will take place Tuesday, May 23, at 10 a.m. at Prairie Home Cemetery. Please meet at the cemetery office.
