Robert "Bob" P. Barnes of Waukesha and Painesville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 14, 2017, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 81. He was born in Clarksburg, W.Va., on November 27, 1935, the son of Denzil and Virginia (nee Carson) Barnes.
He was a 1953 graduate of Victory High School in Clarksburg and went on to receive his degree from Penn Tech Institute. On May 26, 1956, he married the love of his life, June Dever, and they eventually settled in Ohio. He was a longtime employee of Rockwell Automation-Allen Bradley, which brought them to Wisconsin. Bob was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Waukesha and First Baptist Church of Painesville. He enjoyed singing in the church choir and served as a trustee. He loved golfing and even had a hole-in-one, but most of all he loved being with his family.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of almost 61 years, June; his son Thomas (Elizabeth) Barnes of East Troy; his daughter Byschelle Jesberger of Highland Heights, Ohio; and his grandchildren, Colin, Julia and Samuel Barnes, Claire and Adam Jesberger, Colleen McVey and Ari Everts.
He is further survived by his sisters, Ramona (the late Stanley) McIntyre, Carol (Gary) Martin and Sondra (Howard) Dodd, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Juanita "Becky" (Jack) Godfrey and Patty (Bill) Walsh.
