Joycelyn ‘Joyce’ Moritz

Joyce Moritz of Waukesha entered into eternal life on Monday, May 22, 2017, at the age of 86 years. She was the daughter of Jerome and Eleanor Dulau.

Joyce married Roderick Moritz on July 1, 1950, and raised a family of three. She was a manicurist for many years in Milwaukee and later a nursing assistant for the Racine Dominican Sisters for 10 years, a member of St. William Catholic Church, and sang in the Resurrection Choir. Joyce was also an associate member of St. Vincent DePaul Society; worked with the Dismas Ministry for the Archdiocese; and volunteered at area nursing homes and hospitals. She participated at the Wisconsin State Fair and received many ribbons for cooking and baking. Most of all she loved being with her family.

Joyce will be sadly missed by her children, Linda (Richard) Basting of Madison, Michael Moritz of Oconomowoc and Renee (Kevin) Kirsch of Waukesha; grandchildren, Sarah Basting, Matthew (Jennifer) Basting, Nathaniel (Shaun Dow) Basting, Katherine (Ronny) Krauss, Michael (Hannah) Moritz Jr. and Patrick Moritz; and great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Nicholas, Myia, Joycelyn, Layla and Chloe. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband; twin brother, Jeremiah; brother, Jerome; sister, Eunice; and brother-in-law, Frank Schwab.

A visitation for Joyce will be held on Thursday, May 25, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N.

Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. A second visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 26, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. The Rev. Jose Nieto will be officiating. The burial will take place immediately following at Forest Hill Cemetery, Pewaukee.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Hartland Terrance, 327 North Ave., Hartland, WI 53029.
