James C. Cornell
James C. "Jim" Cornell, age 84, passed away June 4, 2017, at his residence. Jim was born November 11, 1932, in Milwaukee, the son of Darrell and Helen (nee Surface) Cornell.
Jim was a retired driver for the Tews Lime & Cement Company and a longtime member of the Teamsters union. Jim and his wife, Delores, owned and operated the Alamo, a bar and dance hall in New Berlin, many years ago.
Jim is survived by his wife, Delores (nee Cissa), and children Larry, Jeffrey, Patrick (Debi), Karen (Rick) Frank and Ellen (Lonell) Hamiel.
He is also survived by brother Darrell, Tom, Robert (Renee), John (Karen), Richard (Joan), Mike (Jean) and Mark (Caroline). Jim is further survived by grandchildren Elyse, Jenny, Chris, Edward, Rachel, Julie, Andy, Kayla and Jalen. He is also survived by great-grandchildren David, Dylan, Tatum, Riley, Sadie, Aurora, and Javone Jr. and the late Londyn.
He was preceded in death by sister Mary Jane and by brothers William and Patrick and sisters-in-law Carol Joyce and Marlene.
A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, June 8, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha, with a memorial service at 6 p.m.
