Danielle Marie ZsenakDanielle “Dani” Marie Zsenak, 30, passed from this life unexpectedly on June 26, 2017, at her home in Wausau. Born May 26, 1987, in Trenton, N.J., she resided in Wisconsin most of her life.

Danielle graduated from Waukesha West High School and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Marquette University and her Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee. A marketing technologist at Connexus, Dani previously worked as a Web developer for Eastbay/Footlocker in Wausau, and as a reference and instructional services librarian at Marian University of Fond du Lac.

Although reserved in manner, Danielle had a strong adventurous spirit and relished a challenge. She attended Space Camp in Alabama; learned to surf in Hawaii; played club rugby at Marquette University; finished 2nd in the 2008 Jeopardy College Tournament of Champions; tried out for the U.S. Olympic skeleton team in Utah; skated with the Fondie Firecats Roller Derby in Fond du Lac; and most recently experienced a tandem skydive to celebrate her 30th birthday. Board secretary for the Wausau Community Theatre, she performed in various productions and designed their website. Danielle had a hunger for knowledge, a passion for books, a penchant for shoes, and a love of art, music, film and theater.

Predeceased by her grandmother, Doris Zsenak, and her “GAM-E,” Maryellen Blackwell, Danielle was the cherished daughter of Dave and Donna Zsenak, and sister to Dean and David Zsenak, all of Waukesha; granddaughter of Edward and Margaret Mulvan of Brick, N.J., and Elmer Zsenak of Columbus, N.J.; niece to Maureen Mulvan, Ed (Deb) Mulvan, Bonnie (Jim) DiPersio and Kevin (Denise) Zsenak; and cousins Jennifer Johnson, Jessica and Michael DiPersio, and Gabrielle, Dylan, Rachel and Aidan Zsenak. She leaves behind her beloved greyhounds, Bean and Barbie, and an extended network of family and friends.

The Rev. José Nieto will officiate a Mass of Christian Burial for Danielle on Friday, July 14, at 11 a.m. at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. Prior to Mass, visitation will begin at 10 a.m. A luncheon will follow in the church hall.
