William Edward ‘Billy’ Keeler Jr.

William Edward ‘Billy’ Keeler Jr. passed away peacefully at the age of 74 following a long, but strong battle with cancer on July 17, 2017.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Sr. and Frances, and brother Gregory Burt.

He was the proud father of William “Billy” III and brother to Bobby (Lin) Keeler.

A career journeyman and idyllic wanderer, who was proud of and lived his Irish heritage, he finished his working life with Montgomery County (Maryland) Public Schools, ensuring former students could obtain their records to help start their journey in the right direction. He was a graduate of Marquette University and a die hard Warrior fan, loved his Cubs and was an avid reader, crossword puzzle solver, and cantankerous friend and acquaintance to almost everyone he met, but especially his friends and classmates from Mukwonago, Marquette, Milwaukee, D.C., Ireland, and beyond.

He passed away listening to his favorite boss, Bruce Springsteen.

No services are currently scheduled, however, a memorial is being planned for August 18, 2017, to coincide with his favorite annual gathering, Milwaukee Irish Fest. Contact his son at wkeeler@crivellocarlson.com for details.

In his honor, donations are encouraged to the Marquette University College of Education Scholars Fund.
