William ‘Willy’ Koko Kaaikiola
Feb. 16, 1931 — July 18, 2017
William “Willy” Koko Kaaikiola, aka “Bill,” 86, of Waukesha, died Tuesday, July 18, 2017, surrounded by loving family.
Born in Honolulu, he graduated St. Louis College, attended UH and Graceland, served in the Army, and graduated from Marquette. Bill and his cherished Pat were married 53 years, a true love match. To Debbie and Hunter, he was beloved dad and grandpa.
A musician since age 18, he performed often in Milwaukee and Chicago, notably leading the Kamalii Five revue many years. Bill taught gifted and troubled kids in Milwaukee Public Schools with strength and heart nearly 30 years. Coming to Jesus opened a new world for him, shared with Pat, in couples’ ministry and prison ministry. Bill touched many lives with sincerity and aloha: strangers became friends, friends became family. He’ll be deeply missed.
