Charles (“Chuck,” “Bud,” “Bogie”) Dresdow, age 83, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2017. Chuck was born on May 11, 1934, to Nola and Art Dresdow, and was raised in Waukesha. He graduated from Waukesha High School in 1952, where he served as senior class president. He excelled in sports; specifically, football, basketball, and baseball. Chuck was honored on the 1951 All-American high school football team. He was also selected for All-Suburban and All-State for football.
On Nov. 27, 1954, Chuck married his high school sweetheart, Lolita (Lita) Huebner. Chuck and Lita made their life together in Brookfield. Together, they had five children. For Chuck, his family and friends were the most important things in life. Until recently, Chuck had maintained a weekly Wednesday morning breakfast with a group of his high school classmates. They also golfed together quite regularly.
Chuck leaves behind his loving wife and best friend, Lita. He is also survived by his children, Terry (Linda) Dresdow, Kathy (Jon) LaPorte, Tim (Chau)
Dresdow, Todd Dresdow, and Kevin (Anna) Dresdow; nine grandchildren: Nicole (Victor) Duarte, Ava Dresdow, Bryan and Brad Ehnert, Alex and Andrew Dresdow, Nick (Jordan) Dresdow, Kaitlyn and Ben Dresdow. He is also survived by sisters Nancy (Lee) Jones, Judy (Jerry) Kagel, and a brother, Jack (Mary) Dresdow; sisters-in-law: Loy (Bill) Godfrey and Lucia (Geoff) Kinne; and many nieces and nephews, others relatives and friends. Chuck was proceeded in death by his parents and a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Terry Young.
Services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 2, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 18000 W. Greenfield Ave., Brookfield, with a 9:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. visitation followed by a noon Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Make-A-Wish Wisconsin, a charity he and his wife volunteered at and had a special place in his heart.
