Maxine G. Johnson

Maxine G. Johnson, age 91, of Osseo, formerly of Blair, died on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, in her home in Osseo. Maxine was born on April 23, 1926, in Rochester, Minn., to Irving and Stella (Sepin) Ingalls. She married James M. Johnson on November 8, 1959, in Nashua, Iowa. They raised their family in Waukesha and then returned back to Blair. James preceded Maxine in death on August 7, 2012.
Maxine lived a long, fulfilling life caring for her many loved ones. She retired from the AT& T phone company after 30 years of employment. Maxine’s big heart and her strong work ethic allowed her to continue working well into her late 70s.
Maxine is survived by seven daughters, Margaret (Ken) Long, Marsha Foster, Melinda Sorensen, Jackie (Dan) Riesing, Jill (Mike) De Luca, Sandra Johnson and Sally Werchoski; a son, James (Tracey) Johnson; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Kathy (Tom) Ferguson.
In addition to her parents and husband, Maxine was preceded in death by two sons, Raymond and Roger Sorensen; two grandsons, Andrew Long and Timothy Holzer; a granddaughter, Lori Long; a great-granddaughter, Anna Janzen; and a brother, Donald “Buck” Ingalls.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 5, at 1 p.m. at the Jack Funeral Home in Blair with Scott Brown officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
