Mildred C. Mizia
Mildred C. Mizia of Waukesha entered into eternal life on Saturday, August 5, 2017, at the age of 89 years. She was born on her family farm in Neillsville, the daughter of Benjamin and Hattie (nee Susa) Bodwin.
Mildred married Walter V. Mizia and they spent many years together. She worked for Clark, Amoco and BP Oil companies. She also worked as an executive secretary to Mr. Elmer Winter, the CEO of ManPower for many years. Mildred and Walter were a very good team as real estate brokers in Milwaukee and when they moved to Clearwater, Fla. She enjoyed traveling and most of all her Catholic faith was very important to her.
Mildred will be sadly missed by her siblings, Hubert F. Bodwin of Waukesha and Joseph D. Bodwin of Florida and nieces and nephews, Lorna (Owe) Petersen, Ernest (Aksorn) Logemann, Susan (Mark) Schneider, Gerald (Dorothy) Logemann, Benjamin (Jordan) Bodwin and Charlene Urban. She is further survived by many other loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter; and sister Irene Logemann.
A visitation for Mildred will be held on Friday, August 11, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. The Rev. Howard Haase will be officiating. The burial will take place at 1 p.m. at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery, 3801 W. Morgan Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53221, at 1 p.m. (please meet inside the gates).
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mildred’s name to St. Mary Catholic Church (see address above) would be appreciated.
