John Zipfel Jr. went to join his beloved wife, Lauretta, in eternal life, surrounded at home by his loving family. He was born on May 14, 1931, in Waukesha, the son of the late John and Louise (nee Lamp).
John had many interests throughout his life as he enjoyed motorcycling, snowmobiling, hunting, golfing and, most of all, spending time with his family and friends. John worked at A.& A. Trucking in his early years before becoming the owner of Kettle Moraine Septic. After retirement, he enjoyed traveling and wintering in Lake Havasu, Arizona.
John was the beloved husband of the late Lauretta (nee Hitz).
He is survived by children Jeannie Schultz, John (Cheryl), Jim (Brenda), Jerry (Pam), Janice (Rex) Jackowick and Jodi (Dave) Olshefski. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and by companion, Caryl. John is further survived by his loving sister, Lorene Sievert, and by many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by son-in-law Darryl Schultz; his sister Helen; his brother Wilbur; and by stepsister Arlene.
Visitation for John will be held on Wednesday, August 16, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha, with a funeral service at 7 p.m. The burial on Thursday will be private.
