Michelle Morgan of Waukesha was born to eternal life on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at AngelsGrace Hospice surrounded by the love of her family at age 61. She was born in Streator, Illinois, on November 21, 1955, the daughter of Francis and Mary Anne (nee Pesenti) McGowan.
She was a graduate of Marseilles High School in Illinois and earned her bachelor’s degree in education from Marycrest College in Davenport, Iowa. On July 18, 1981, she married Daniel Morgan. Michelle had a passion for children and loved teaching. She taught at the Waukesha Catholic St. Mary Campus from 1999 until her retirement in May of 2015.
She was a longtime member of St. Mary Catholic Church and was a member of the Christian Women. Michelle will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, generous heart, and as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and as a beloved teacher and friend.
She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband of 36 years, Daniel of Waukesha; their two loving daughters, Elizabeth (Thomas) Sheehan of Waukesha and Rebecca Morgan of Waukesha; her precious grandson Hudson Sheehan; and her dear mother Mary Anne McGowan of Oak Brook, Ill. She is further survived by her brothers, Daniel (Marcia) McGowan of Stillwater, Minn., and Mark McGowan of Henderson, Texas; her sister Molly (Daniel) Ruszkowski of Villa Park, Ill.; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and cherished friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Francis.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017, 8:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. followed by the funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m., all at St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186. Father Howard Haase will preside.
Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
