Glenn Allen Dove
June 19, 1954 ó Aug. 22, 2017
Glenn Dove of Waukesha passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at the age of 63. He was born June 19, 1954, in Hancock, Mich., to parents John B. and Marilyn Morin Dove. He grew up in Milwaukee, where he graduated from Washington High School. Glenn later took further coursework in college.
Glenn showed exceptional talent and was primarily self-taught in computer coding and software configuration management. As a natural problem solver, he began his career in the banking field, then quickly grew into a leader in consulting and technology services. Glenn gained rich experiences at Optima Software and Serena Software, where he rose to managing principal of technology services. In 2003, he became partner and chief technology officer at WINC Technical Consulting. Several years later, Glenn founded his own JASMATT Corporation, where he provided technical and project management services until the time of his death.
Glenn married Jacquelyn L. Irvine on August 7, 1982, in Oshkosh. Glenn and Jackie settled in Waukesha and raised two sons, Matthew and Jason. The family built long-lasting memories during their wide-ranging travels. Disney World was a favorite destination for extended family who traveled together most summers. Glenn especially found thrills in touring the country to see great baseball fields, and he relished feeling the unique spirit of each ballpark. He was delighted that each of his children has a strong work ethic and values family connections. He repeatedly found joy in hunting, fishing, golfing, and sharing music with them.
Glenn is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Jackie; three children: Ryan (Erin) of Jackson, Matthew (Joy) of Waukesha, and Jason (Jessica) of Columbus; his mother, Marilyn; and granddaughters Madeline, Lily and Bailey of Jackson, and Reyna, Cameron and Zoe of Waukesha. He is further survived by brother John (Cindy) of Downers Grove, Ill., and sister Luann (Arlen) Folker of Milwaukee, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and by his brother, Marc.
The family wishes to thank AngelsGrace Hospice, Oconomowoc, for their graceful care of Glenn until his passing.
The funeral service for Glenn will take place at noon on Saturday, August 26, at Algoma Boulevard Methodist Church, 1174 Algoma Boulevard, Oshkosh, with Pastor Cathy Weigand officiating. The family will greet friends at church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
