Iris Virginia Jahnke of the Country Belle was born November 20, 1921, in Concord, the daughter of William Mallow and Elizabeth (nee Krause). She married Raymond Jahnke on October 26, 1946. Iris was a lifelong member of St. Paulís Church in Oconomowoc. She was a member and volunteer at Oconomowoc Senior Center and former owner and manager of the Country Belle Womenís Shop in Oconomowoc.
Survivors include loving friend John Givens of Ixonia; sister Marilyn (Kenneth) Runyard of Dousman; nephews Alan (Susan) Runyard of Oconomowoc, Wayne (Tina) Jahnke of Reno, Nevada, Allen Jahnke, Terry Jahnke, Brian (Susan) Jahnke, nieces Kathy (Jeff) Runyard Isham of Colorado and Janis (Jeremiah) Jahnke Drum of Delafield; and great-nephews, great-great-nephews-and-nieces and relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond; and brother Ervin Mallow.
Services for Iris took place at Pagenkopf Funeral Home, 1165 E. Summit Ave., Oconomowoc, on Monday, August 28, at 6:30 p.m. A visitation for family and friends was from 4:30 p.m. until the time of services at 6:30 p.m. Burial at Glenview Memorial Gardens was Tuesday, August 29 at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paulís Lutheran Church.
