Edward Rowland of Sullivan died September 16, 2017, at his home with his family by his side. Edward was born on August 5, 1928, to Edward and Jessie Rowland.
He attended Oconomowoc High School, served in the U.S. Navy from 1945 to 1947, and was a World War II veteran. On November 24, 1951, he married Beatrice Meintz and they had three children: Diane, David, and Dennis.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice; daughter Diane (Mike) Plumley; sons David and Dennis (friend Lynn); sister Helen Korth; brother Richard (Joan); and grandchildren Mandy (Adam) Roder and John (friend Molly) Plumley. Edward belonged to the Legion Post 349 in Sullivan, and the Sullivan Fire Department when he was younger. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and old cars. He drove truck for many years.
Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. noon until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, at St. Johnís Lutheran Church, W407 Highway 18, Sullivan.
