Jonas H. Brach
May 13, 1937 — Oct. 15, 2017

Jonas Brach passed away on Oct. 15, 2017, at the age of 80 years. He was born May 13, 1937, in Milwaukee, the son of Gustav and Irene (nee Vollheim) Brach.

The family moved to New Berlin when Jonas was around 4 years of age. He graduated from eighth grade at Hunkins one-room school in New Berlin and graduated from Waukesha High School in June 1955. On October 18, 1958, Jonas married the love of his life, Marlene Strysick of Sheboygan. Jonas was the service manager for Vogel Ford Tractor, which several years later became Milwaukee Ford Tractor and Equipment. He worked there from 1951 to 2006 as the service manager.

Jonas is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Marlene, and by sons David Brach of Waukesha and Matthew (Lynn Tyree) Brach of Waukesha. He is also survived by his precious granddaughters, Jessica Brach of Waukesha and Megan (Brach) Van Oppen of Fort Atkinson, and he was the proud great-grandfather of Beau. Jonas is further survived by Jackie (Marlin) Czupowski of Fort Atkinson; sisters-in-law Donna Strysick of Sheboygan and Delores (Strysick) Gibson of Sheboygan; and by other dear relatives and many special friends.

Visitation for Jonas will be held on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll St., Waukesha, with a funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial at Highland Memorial Park will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
