Marianne Wright

Marianne Wright (nee Weytens) passed away peacefully surrounded by the love and warmth of her family on Monday, October 16, 2017, at the age of 78.

She was the beloved wife of Jay Wright for 58 years; loving mother of Michael (Kimberly) Wright, Brian (Jennifer) Wright, Connie (John) Coan, Theresa (John) Setter, Kathleen (Edward) Brown and her late infant daughter, Deborah Kay Wright; proud grandma of Brittany Wright (fiancé Eric Deterville), Brandyn Wright, Logan Wright, Sarah Wright (fiancé Michael Bailey), David Wright, Rebecca Coan, Kevin Coan, Kyle Coan, John Setter Jr., Megan Setter, Andrew Setter and Jacob Brown; dear sister of Keith (Marlene) Weytens, Peter (Mary Ellen) Weytens, Shirley (the late Dean) Nagle, James (Cindy) Weytens, David (Mary Ruth) Weytens and Betty (Michael “Mic”) Wagner; and dear sister-in-law of Kay (the late Keith) Sprague and Jerry (Sharon) Wright. Marianne is also remembered by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Marianne was preceded in death by her parents, James and Edith (nee Madison) Weytens, and her in-laws, Ralph and Frances (nee Kozak) Wright.

Marianne loved to watch her grandchildren at their sporting and school events. In her free time, she enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, genealogy and collecting antiques.

A special thank-you to the loving and compassionate nurses at Waukesha Memorial Hospital who had taken care of Marianne.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 23, at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, from 4 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., followed by the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 6 p.m. Interment will be held on Tuesday, October 24, at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 21731 Spring St., Union Grove, at 1 p.m. Please meet at the office.
