Carl H. ‘Butch’ Brandenburg

Carl H. “Butch” Brandenburg peacefully passed away November 2, 2017, at the age of 76.

He was the loving husband of Kathryn “Kay” (nee Grady) of 53 years; beloved father of Michael (Gayle) Brandenburg of Merton, Kristin (John) Harper of Nashotah, Matthew Brandenburg of Milwaukee and Kyle (Chris) Brandenburg of Bentonville, Ark.; and loving grandfather of Jacob, Tricia, Peyton, Carly, Damien, Jordyn and Taylyn. He is further survived by sister-in-law Judith Grady; nephews Brad and Steve Grady; and his sister Carol.

He spent the early years of his life as a loving husband and father to his children. He enjoyed a long career in the automotive industry. Butch had a love for bowling, softball, snowmobiling and fishing. In the years of his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family, relaxing on the pontoon boat on Nagawicka Lake and watching Wisconsin sports teams and college football.

A visitation for Butch will be held on Saturday, November 25, from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., followed by a sharing of memories at the Schmidt & Bartelt Notbohm-Kreutzmann Funeral Home, 121 S. Cross St., Oconomowoc.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society.
