Jean Saxe Jolliffe

Jean Saxe Jolliffe, 70, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017, in Tucson, Ariz. Born July 10, 1946, in Long Beach, Calif., she was the daughter of Orville Milton Saxe and Loyce (Black) Saxe, both deceased, of Cleburne, Texas. Jean was a former resident of Brookfield for 37 years.

Jean was the beloved wife of Ronald for 48 years. Ron preceded her in death. They retired to Tucson in 2013. Jean was the proud mother of Jennifer Melissa (Mark) McDaniel, also of Tucson. She was the aunt of Donna Sedlak and Steve Arnold. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Jean was a 1964 graduate of Oconomowoc High School. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in history from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1969. Jean was employed at the Childrenís Hospital Library in Milwaukee for over 25 years, where she worked as a research librarian.

Jean was very proud of her Cornish heritage and enjoyed traveling to Cornwall with Ron to visit relatives. She was the genealogist in the family, tracing roots to Cornwall in both her and her husbandsí lineage. Jean wrote a couple books on Ronís family. Jean was also one of the founding members of the Cornish Society of Greater Milwaukee, where she served as secretary. She and Ron also enjoyed traveling to Jamaica, staying at a resort in Ocho Rios.

Jean was a beautiful woman and a wonderful wife and mother. She will be greatly missed by her family and all those who knew her.

A memorial will be held in Wisconsin at a future date not yet determined.
