Elia Santoro Cataldo

Elia Santoro Cataldo of Greendale was born to eternal life on December 23, 2017, at the age of 75. He was born in Palermo, Italy, on November 15, 1942, the son of Giovanni and Giuseppa Santoro Cataldo.
On July 20, 1971, he married his beloved wife, Emilia Siragusa, in Palermo, Italy and they then moved to the United States. Elia was a member of St. John the Evangelist Parish, the Garibaldi Club and the Abruzzese Club. He loved gardening, watching sports and was a bird breeder. Most of all he cherished the time he spent with his family and will always be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 46 years, Emilia of Greendale, and their loving children, John and Maurice Santoro Cataldo, and Josephine Mangiapane. He was the proud grandfather of Michael Mangiapane and Julia Panfil. He is further survived by his brother Domenico, sisters Anna and Eleonora, all of Palermo, Italy, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 28, from 9:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Parish, 8500 W. Cold Spring Road, Greenfield, WI 53228. Entombment will follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to assist adorning his mausoleum.
