Mary Emma Albee

Mary Emma (Colwill) Albee of Mukwonago was born to eternal life on December 22, 2017, at the age of 97.

She was the wife of the late Leonard J. Albee; loving mother of Janine (Russell G.) Coley and the late Jacqueline (Wayne) Craig; beloved grandmother of Mary (Adam) Johnson, Michael (Nicole) Craig, Russell J. (Patricia) Coley, and E. Burton (Carrie) Coley; and cherished great-grandmother of Erin and A.J. Johnson, Isla and Ian Craig, and Russell R. Coley.

Mary Emma grew up in Mukwonago and taught elementary school there for 39 years. She attended Normal School in Union Grove for two years and received her bachelorís degree from UW-Whitewater. She enjoyed reading, fishing, traveling and activities with her family. Her travels included trips to Europe and across the United States, but her favorite destinations were Walt Disney World and English River, Canada. Mary Emma was a fan of the Wisconsin Badgers and was proud that her grandchildren graduated from the university. She belonged to the First Congregational Church of Mukwonago and served on several boards and committees. Mary Emma was a 76-year member and past matron of the LaBelle Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. She also served on the Mukwonago Cemetery Board and the Red Brick Museum.

Visitation will be held at First Congregational Church of Mukwonago on January 2 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with Order of the Eastern Star and religious services to follow. Private burial will take place at Oak Knoll Cemetery.
