Henry ‘Hank’ J. RiegelHenry ‘Hank’ J. Riegel of Waukesha passed away peacefully on Christmas Day at AngelsGrace Hospice.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Verla.

He was the dearest dad of Jan (Mark) Rysticken, Jeff (Connie) Riegel and John (Laurie Valentine) Riegel. He is also survived by a sister Joyce “Dolly” Kieffer; sisters-in-law Evelyn McGuiness, Rose Hill and Shirley Hirshman; and a brother-in-law Peter (Rose) Timmers.
Hank was a machinist, having worked at Harley-Davidson and AC Delco. After that, he was the owner of Waukesha Service Supreme, a janitorial service, in Waukesha.

He was a proud Navy veteran of WWII, and dedicated member and past commander of American Legion Post 375 of Mukwonago, as well as a member of the 40 ET 8.

He was a daily volunteer at Meals on Wheels for many years and also volunteered regularly at Interfaith Senior Programs in Waukesha. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and playing cribbage with his good friends at his legion post, by whom he will be greatly missed.

Visitation Saturday, December 30, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha, from 2 p.m. until the time of services at 4 p.m. Entombment will be Tuesday, January 2, at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery, Waukesha.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Honor Flight would be appreciated.
