Christopher Leofilos of Waukesha was born March 10, 1931 in Lynn, Ma., and was born to eternal life Friday, January 5, 2018, at the age of 86 years, after a long battle with COPD.
He was the beloved father of Duane (Michelle) Leofilos, Paul (Amy) Leofilos, Tracy Leofilos Kinski (David Bastin) and Allan (Sharon) Leofilos and stepdaughter Ann Marie “Missy” Madden; loving grandpa of Charles (Christina), Brian (Jessie), Codey, Zac, Creed and Nicholas Leofilos, Dallas Kinski (whom he loved dearly) and Brittany Smith; dear uncle of Esther Marcinkus, Frances “Frannie” Smith, Tom Perkins and Nancy Turtenwald; and former spouse of Nancy Gorski. Christopher is also loved and will be missed by great-grandchildren, friend Dale Pippo, and other family, friends and customers.
He was preceded in death by his infant son Stephen; parents, Hariklia and Nicholas Leofilos; sisters Ethel Grace and Anna Perkins; and loving companion Gloria Madden.
Christopher was a veteran in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate at Milwaukee School of Engineering. After earning his engineering degree, he worked at Galland Henning for 10 years. He went on to own and operate Olde English Nursery from 1965 to 2011. After, he went on to contribute to his family’s business, Let’s Roll Tobacco in Waukesha. He loved life and lived it to the fullest.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 14, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road (at highways J and JJ, four blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha. Memorial service to follow at 4 p.m.
