Donald Gene Parsons

Donald Gene Parsons of Waukesha died of respiratory heart failure at Waukesha Memorial Hospital on January 9, 2018. He was born on October 9, 1941, to Earl and Lillian (nee Orgas) Parsons.
He worked at Mann and Putz in construction and Wisconsin Boiler and Furnace as a mason. Don worked as a bartender at Ciro's Restaurant and the Other Inn. He also worked at Husco. He was even a security guard for Pinkerton. Don proudly worked as an usher at Trinity for many years and took this job very seriously.
Don loved music, playing the guitar and the accordion, as well as listening to live singers and bands. He enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas as well as fishing trips with his friends. He was an avid biker and especially liked his Harley. Don was a loyal Packers fan organizing many tailgate parties. In his final years, he lived at Brookfield Rehab and Specialty Care, where he received excellent care, he loved playing bingo and winning stuffed animals.
He is survived by his daughter, Joelyn (John) Morgan from Muskego, and his grandchildren JR (Tricia) Morgan from Wauwatosa and Shawna (Garret) VanHuysen from Montana. Don also has a great-grandson, Patrick. He is further survived by his sisters Joyce Mann and Mary Parsons, his sister-in-law Shirley Parsons and his ex-wife Jacie Tuomi of Montana, as well as many other family and friends.
His sister Sandra Steinman and brother Earl E. Parsons preceded him in death.
He will be missed by all but we know he is in heaven back with family members and friends who have gone before.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 14, with the service to follow at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church on Whiterock Avenue in Waukesha. Pastor Lawrence Gates will officiate.
