PARK FALLS |
Craig Allen Schemberger
Jan. 12, 1957 — Jan. 10, 2018
Craig Allen Schemberger, age 60, of Park Falls, died suddenly on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, in Glidden. He was born on January 12, 1957, in Milwaukee, the son of Warren “Bud” and Harriet (Heglund) Schemberger.
His early life and schooling were in Waukesha. On February 18, 1978, he married Susan Sedivy, the girl that lived across the street and the love of his life. The couple lived in Waukesha, where Craig owned his own construction company, CASS construction, and built custom homes. In 1989 they moved to Park Falls. Craig built many homes in the Park Falls area and worked in commercial construction for many years. As a family, the Schemberger’s began a small maple syrup adventure, tapping the trees in their yard. Upon his retirement, Craig and his girls expanded to Lakeside Syrup and Honey. He loved selling his products and socializing at farmers markets and craft fairs throughout northern Wisconsin. Craig had a “tell it how it is” approach and was always heard before he was seen. He was very proud of his daughters, they were his everything.
Craig will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Susan, of Park Falls; his three daughters, Samantha (Christopher Tank) Schemberger, Cassy (Travis) Pydo and Andi “Fred” (Alan) Ellner, all of Park Falls; aunt June Peters of Park Falls; his half-brother, Marvin (Maddie) Goetter of Waukesha; his brother-in-law Lenard (Connie) Sedivy of Waukesha; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Wendy Schemberger; and his half-brother, Tom Goetter.
A celebration of life will be held at Dicky’s Butternut Resort in Butternut on January 21 at 1 p.m. Please, feel free to wear flannel to the memorial.
