Nancy Jane Plamann

Nancy Jane Plamann, age 82, a longtime Marietta, Ga., resident, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018, at her home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Macland Chapel, Powder Springs, Ga. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park, Marietta.
Nancy was born Dec. 14, 1935, in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Merl and Estelle (Dirkman) Peterke. On Nov. 19, 1955, she married Arthur G. Plamann. He preceded her in death in 2006. Nancy, her husband and three children moved to Georgia in 1978 and considered the South their home. She enjoyed growing prizewinning roses and her many vegetable and flower gardens. She loved animals of all kinds. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her family was her whole world.
Nancy is survived by two sons, Thomas Plamann of Marietta, Ga., and Lawrence (Glenda) Plamann of Marietta, Ga.; grandchildren, Natalie Estelle Cramer of Cocoa Beach, Fla., Michael Kazsmer of Dallas, Ga., and Brittney Kazsmer of Buford, Ga.; one sister, Betty Saugestad of Waupaca, and many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Besides her husband, Arthur, and daughter Lori Jean and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Peterke and Harvey Peterke and a sister, Shirley Ebert.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, Jan. 21, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
