Ramon E. ‘Ray’ Olson

Ramon E. “Ray” Olson reunited with Gerri, his beloved wife of 62 years, on January 17, 2018, at age 86. He was the loving father of Linda Pearson, Cynthia Rae (Jon) Bennett, Daniel (Tracey) Olson and Robert (Shari) Olson; proud grandpa of Matthew, Jamie (Matthew) Peterson, Jillian (fiancé Jakin), Jonathan, Abigail, Chelsea and Amelia Olson; step-grandpa of Cody, Carly, Dylan, Nora, Max and Riley; dear brother of Leonard (Gloria), Donna Byrd, Barbara Jones and Jacqueline (Richard) Klempke; and brother-in-law of Robert Nenning, Donald Nenning and Dorothy French. He is further survived by additional family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Dorothy (nee Thompson); his brother Richard; and sister-in-law Marion Steckbauer.

Ray founded Globe Contractors in 1971, and additionally, Bore Master in 1997. He cherished his employees and recognized that they were the key to a successful business. His work was his passion and retirement was an option he never

considered. He served as president for WI Underground Contractors’ Association (WUCA), and was a trustee for Laborers Health Fund and for IIP. Ray was awarded the WUCA Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012 for his tremendous impact in the industry over many years. He also served his country during the Korean War.

Visitation will be at the Krause Funeral Home, 21600 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield, on Friday, January 26, from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Additional visitation will be on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., with a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Procession to Highland Memorial Park.
