Ken Kowalkowski, 78, Oconto, passed away Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018. He was born July 17, 1939 in Milwaukee to Chester and Jeanne (Kubiak)Kowalkowski.
On May 21, 1960, Ken was united in marriage to Connie Gawlinski. Ken began his career at Clark Oil in 1960 and was district manager at the end of 30 years. Ken and Connie owned and operated Foxview Lanes in Waukesha before retiring to Oconto in 2000. Ken enjoyed bowling in leagues and fishing in his spare time.
Ken is survived by his wife of 57 years, Connie; four children, Keith (Lisa), Chris (Lyn), Tracy (Jeff) Vogelsang and Jon (Sandy); 14 grandchildren, Jeremy, Kyle (Fallon), Lacy, Abigail (James) Carlson, Ashley, Samantha, Jamie, Aniela, Marc, Elizabeth, Jeffrey, Danielle, Cassie and Brooke; three great grandchildren, Kylon, Harbor and Kayden; a sister, Gloria Goetzel; his in-laws, Betty Polatowski, Vicky (Mike) Bauer, Jerry (Patricia) Gawlinski; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, Nick, Jeanette (Nick, Gene, Samuel) and Rick; and other relatives and friends.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, a son Kenneth “Butch”; a grandson, Henry Frank; and his beloved canine companion, JJ.
In accordance to Ken’s wishes, a private service will be held at a later date.
