Edna Blankenheim, 103, of Rio Linda, Calif, (formerly of Jefferson and Waukesha), died on January 15,2018.
Edna was bon on January 10,1915 in Jefferson County, the daughter of Charles and Stella (Fryer) Fleming. On June 28,1934, she married Rupert Blankenheim in Jefferson. The couple had four children and enjoyed 46 years of marriage, until his death in 1980. Edna was a graduate of Jefferson High School and worked as a bookkeeper at a super market in Waukesha for many years.
Edna was a lifelong bowler and loved the sport. She had a long and full life and will be missed dearly by her children and friends.
She is survived by Children Roger (Setsuko) Blankenheim of Rio Linda, Diane (John) Redina of Collinsville, Ala., and Jane Wire of Palmyra, nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Edna is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Douglas in 2004; and her siblings. She was the last of the 11 Fleming children.
She will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery of Jefferson on Monday, June 25, at 10 a.m.
