Lavona Adair MacAdam

Lavona (nee Brandt) MacAdam, 86 of Waukesha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 25, 2018, at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, David V. MacAdam, and her loving sister, Darlene (Brandt) Davies. She is survived by her children: Denise (Jeff) Baldwin of Waukesha, Paul (Evelyn) MacAdam of San Jose, Calif., Lois MacAdam of Niles, Ill., and David (Lori) MacAdam of Augusta, Kan. She is also survived by her six grandchildren: Adam, Daniel, Matthew, and Michael Baldwin; Alex MacAdam; and Lindsey (MacAdam) Fraiser; and by her five great-grandchildren: Blake Baldwin; Maelle, Tucker, and Genevieve Fraiser; and Piper MacAdam.

Lavona was born and raised in Chicago. She trained as a registered nurse at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Chicago and

worked there early in her long nursing career. She married her husband, David, and moved to Oak Forest, Ill., in 1954. She moved with her husband and children Paul and Denise to Hales Corners, in 1968, then moved with her husband to Minneapolis, Minn., in 1979. She and her husband returned to Pewaukee in 1997 to retire and live close to their daughter and the Denise (Jeff) Baldwin family. After her husband died in 2012, Lavona moved to and lived happily at Avalon Square in Waukesha.

A memorial visitation will be held on March 10 at 11:30 a.m. at Elmbrook Church, 777 S. Barker Road, Brookfield, followed by a 1:00 p.m. memorial service.
