Susan "Sue" Bruesewitz

Susan "Sue" Bruesewitz (nee Szukalski), 52, of Slinger, was welcomed home by her Lord on Monday, Dec. 5, 2005 at Synergy Health St. Josephís Hospital, West Bend.

Sue was born Feb. 11, 1953 to Aloysious B. and Eleanore M. (nee Fisher) Szukalski in Milwaukee, where she was also raised.

After graduating from Custer High School in 1971, Sue worked at Bachman Furniture.

She remained a dedicated employee there until she dedicated her love and her life to Mark O. Bruesewitz on July 20, 1974 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Milwaukee.

Sue worked at Robert Haack Diamonds after marriage, and later was a devoted employee of Enercon Industries in Menom-onee Falls for 15 years, where she will truly be missed as both friend and colleague.

The couple raised a family of their own in the town of Polk since 1979.

Sue taught Sunday school at St. Peterís Catholic Church, and felt rewarded through taking care of and praying for people in need.

She was entertained when she was able to partake in bowling with her co-workers, and enjoyed reading and walking.

Sue had an admirable gift of being crafty and making beautiful decorations and gifts.

Above all, she found her deepest sense of happiness in living for and devoting her love to her family. She was truly a guardian angel to all and forever will be.

Sue touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by her cherished husband and best friend, Mark; her treasured children, Stacy (Lydell) Tapp of Lakeville, Minn., Lisa (boyfriend Paul Scioli) Bruesewitz of Hartford and Jessica and Matthew Bruesewitz of the town of Polk; her dear parents, Al and Eleanore Szukalski of Milwau-kee; her mother-in-law, Frieda Bruesewitz of Milwaukee; and her dear siblings, Alan Szukalski of West Bend, Mary (Jim) Poehlman of Glendale, Keith (Deanna) Szukalski of Milwau-kee, Jeff (Lisa) Szukalski of West Bend and Mark (Kathy) Szukalski of Milwaukee.

She will also reside in the hearts of her sisters-in-law, Darlene Bruesewitz of Milwaukee and Sharon Poehlmann of Minnetonka, Minn.; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, other special relatives and many dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Susanís life will be held on Friday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m. at St. Peterís Catholic Church, 202 E. Washington St., Slinger, with Father Richard J. Stoffel officiating.

Interment will take place at the new St. Peterís Cemetery in the town of Hartford.

Visitation with family and friends will be held at the church only on Friday, from 4 p.m. until the time of Mass at 7 p.m.

The family would like to extend its sincere appreciation for memorials of the donorís choice that are designated in lieu of flowers.

The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend is assisting the family.
