Darlene M. Elsinger
Darlene M. Elsinger, nee Rehberg, 65, of Woodland passed away Sunday, Dec. 10, 2005 at her daughter’s residence in Milwau-kee just four days short of their 48th wedding anniversary.
She was born July 30, 1940 in Hartford to John and Irene (nee Sell) Rehberg, and married Richard Elsinger on Dec. 14, 1957 in Oconomowoc.
Darlene was a loving woman devoted to her family. She enjoyed painting, needlepoint and traveling with Richard.
Survivors include her husband, Richard "Dick;" six children, John of Green Bay, Laura (Bill Brugman) of Milwaukee, JoAnne (Michael) Tomson of West Bend, Thomas (Theresa Young) of West Bend, Richard Jr. (Laura) of Iron Ridge and Irene (Brent) Erickson of Jackson; eight grandchildren, Rick, Bethany, Katlyn, Thomas Jr., Christian, Matthew, Benjamin and Hunter; three brothers, David (Sherry) and Dennis (Sue), both of Cedarburg and Duane Rehberg of Brown Deer; two sisters, Debbie (Jeff) Goll of Hubertus and Diane (Robert) Gahlman of Hartford.
She is further survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Joyce.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, Dec. 16, at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Leroy.
Father Tom Biersack will officiate, and interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday at the Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford, from 4 to 8 p.m. with a prayer vigil at 7:45 p.m., and on Friday at the church from 10 to 11 a.m.
