Darlene M. Elsinger
Darlene M. Elsinger (nee Rehberg) of Woodland passed away Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005 at her daughter’s residence in Milwaukee just three days short of her 48th wedding anniversary. She was 65 years old.
She was born July 30, 1940 in Hartford to John and Irene (nee Sell) Rehberg. She married Richard Elsinger on Dec. 14, 1957 in Oconomowoc.
Darlene was a loving woman devoted to her family. She enjoyed painting, needlepoint and traveling with Richard.
She is survived by her husband, Richard "Dick"; six children, John (Mary) of Green Bay, Laura (Bill Brugman) of Milwaukee, JoAnne (Michael) Tomson of West Bend, Thomas (Theresa Young) of West Bend, Richard Jr. (Laura) of Iron Ridge and Irene (Brent) Erickson of Jackson; eight grandchildren, Rick, Bethany, Katlyn, Thomas Jr., Christian, Matthew, Benjamin and Hunter; three brothers, David (Sherry) of Cedarburg, Dennis (Sue) of Cedarburg and Duane Rehberg of Brown Deer; and two sisters, Debbie (Jeff) Goll of Hubertus and Diane (Robert) Gahlman of Hartford. She is further survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Joyce.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, Dec. 16, 2005 at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Leroy with Fr. Tom Biersack officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005 at Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union St., Hartford, from 4-8 p.m., with a prayer vigil at 7:45 p.m. and on Friday at the church from 10-11 a.m.
Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hartford.
