Robert "Bob" S. Nelson
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church in Elroy for Robert "Bob" S. Nelson of Mequon, who died on Monday, Dec. 12, 2005 at the age of 71, after a brave fight with cancer. Visitation will be held today from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Mequon. Burial will take place Friday at Fowler Prairie Cemetery in Elroy, following the funeral service.
Bob was employed by the Holming Company of Milwaukee for 44 years.
Bobís greatest love was his family. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Helen (nee Kinnear) Nelson; his loving children Terry (Melanie) Nelson, Peter (Linda) Nelson, Margie (Tim) Edwards and Bobbi Nelson; grandchildren (his pride and joy) Alyssa, Andrew and Matthew Nelson, Erik and Brandon Nelson, Kirstin and Anna Edwards and Helen White; brother Floyd (Pat) Nelson; sisters Velma (Clarence) Labansky and Charlotte Mattson; brother-in-law Bob (Geri) Kinnear; and sister-in-law Barb Kinnear. He is further survived by 15 cherished nieces and nephews, as well as other family and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Anna Nelson; sisters Edna Mae Fancher, LaVerne Rogers and Catherine Jepson; and brothers-in-law Vic Mattson, Tom Rogers and Hugh Jepson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to "Ridiní for Research" (c/o the Medical College of Wisconsin, 9200 W. Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53226) are appreciated.
