Mary "Marlie" Solymossy

Mary "Marlie" Solymossy, 84, of Cedar Ridge in West Bend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2005 at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center in the town of West Bend.

She was born on Nov. 14, 1920 in -fehŹrto, Hungary to the late Joseph Count Mailąth and Louise Anne Mailąth, nee Schell.

Marlie was united in holy matrimony to the late Martin Solymossy on Nov. 4, 1944 in Budapest, Hungary.

Together, in 1952, they migrated to the United States and became American citizens.

Martin preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 2002.

Survivors include four children, Joseph (Linda) Solymossy of Knoxville, Tenn., Leslie Solymossy of Pensacola, Fla., Emeric (Shirley) Solymossy of Davenport, Iowa and Steven (Cindy) Solymossy of Grafton; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a brother, George Mailąth of Australia, and three sisters, Louise Anne Mailąth Schell of Venezuela and Margit Horvath and Ilona Mailąth Vermes, both of Budapest, Hungary.

She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband and a brother, Joseph Mailąth.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 3, at 4 p.m. at the Cedar Ridge Chapel in West Bend.

Chaplin Susan Kolb will officiate and visitation with the family will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Cedar Community-Partners in Caring would be greatly appreciated.
