Marvin P. Heezen

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Oct. 29 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grafton for Marvin P. Heezen, who died at his home on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2005 at the age of 76. The Rev. Steve Lampe officiated the service. Visitation was held at the church prior to the Mass. Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg assisted the family with arrangements.

Marvin was born in Green Bay on Nov. 25, 1928 to the late Lambert and Mabel (nee Holl) Heezen. He graduated from St. Norbert College in De Pere in 1950, where he earned a bachelor of science in mathematics. On Aug. 26, 1950 he married Dolores (nee Rentmeester) in Green Bay. Their marriage was blessed with four children.

Marvin was a plant manager for the American Can Company, where he worked for over 37 years. He also worked for the Rollprint Company for 11 years. Marvin enjoyed golfing, tennis and people in general, but his true love was spending time with his grandchildren. Marvin liked to listen to people and maybe that is why he had such a good sense of humor. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Marvin is survived by his wife Dolores Heezen; children Dr. Mary Ellen (Teresa Hillmer) Heezen, Anne Burdakin, Judy (Mark) Tegge and Chris (Roisin Gilmore) Heezen; grandchildren Michael, Tom, Nathan, Makena, Kathryn, Clare, Anna and Isabel; sisters Dolores Kleuskens and Joyce (Clem) Sipiorski; brother Eugene (Mary Ann) Heezen; and sister-in-law Carolyn Rentmeester. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A memorial fund has been set up in memory of Marvin. For online condolences, please visit www.muellerfuneralhome.com.
