Daniel A. Gauvin
Daniel A. Gauvin, age 65, of Kewaskum, passed away on Friday, Nov. 4, 2005, at Cedar Lake Health Care Center in the town of West Bend.
He was born on March 31, 1940, in Pontiac, Mich., to George and Elaine (Shafer) Gauvin.
On Aug. 12, 1972 he was united in marriage to June Behrend at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in River Falls.
Dan served his country in the U.S. Navy for nine years, including time during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum and the Unity Club.
Survivors include his loving wife, June; two daughters, Kate (Shawn) Vele of Milwaukee and Suzanne Gauvin (fiancŽ, Thomas Abarca) of Seaside, Calif.; two granddaughters, Morgan and Madeline Vele; his parents, George and Elaine Gauvin of Kewaskum; other relatives and friends.
Friends may call on Monday at the church from 4 p.m. until the time of services.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. Father Edwin Kornath and Father Mark Jones will concelebrate.Visitation will take place at the church from 4 p.m. until the time of service. Burial with military graveside rites will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the parish cemetery.
