Robert A. Renner

Robert A. Renner, 72, of West Bend, was welcomed home by his Lord on Monday, Nov. 14, 2005 at Synergy Health St. Joseph’s Hospital, town of Polk.

Robert was born Dec. 7, 1932 to Casper F. and Stella M. (nee Garvens) Renner in Milwaukee, where he was raised.

His family moved to the Kewaskum area where Robert received the remainder of his education.

He worked on his family’s farm, and then he was drafted into the United States Army during the Korean War.

He married Rita M. Rohlinger on Oct. 15, 1955 at Holy Trinity Church in Kewaskum.

Robert continued to devote his dedication and labors to farming, until he became a dedicated employee of Johnson Bus Co. in Menomonee Falls. He later devoted his time and skills to West Bend Sand and Stone until his retirement.

Robert was a member of Operating Engineer’s Local 139.

Robert will be remembered and deeply missed by his beloved wife, Rita; his treasured children, Mary Hansen and her husband, Greg, Debbie Roensch, Donna LaVen and David Renner and his wife, Lisa, all of West Bend, and Cheryl Gundrum of Wagner, S.D.; 10 dear grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He is further survived by his siblings, Lucille Propp and her husband, Chester, and Frederick Renner and his wife, Alice, both of Milwaukee, and Donald Renner and his wife, Caroline, of Jackson; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary and David Ours of Campbellsport, Shirley Sarauer, Gregor and Beverly Rohlinger, Al and Janet Rohlinger and Norbert Rohlinger, all of Kewaskum; many nieces, nep-hews, other special relatives and many dear friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Casper and Stella, and his son, Edward Renner.

A Mass of Christian Burial to honor the life well lived of Robert A. Renner will be held on Thursday, Nov. 17, at 7 p.m. at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church, 415 Roosevelt Drive, West Bend, with Father Bales officiating.

Visitation with family and friends will be held at the church only on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of Mass at 7 p.m.

Interment will take place on Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to memorials that are donated in lieu of flowers to the destination of the donor’s choice.

The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend is assisting the family.
