Arthur G. Thomas
Arthur G. Thomas, 88, died on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005 at the Masonic Health Care Center in Dousman.
He was born on March 28, 1917 in Palmyra, to Lewis and Alice (Aplin) Thomas, and on July 12, 1941 he married Minnie Propp at Oconomo-woc Methodist Church.
Arthur was a lifelong resident of Palmyra, a retired mason contractor and a member of the Pleasant Valley Methodist Church, Palmyra Masonic Lodge and Rob Morris Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include his wife, of 64 years, Minnie; his children, Virginia (Frank) Pfinder of Palmyra, William (Diana) Thomas of Dousman, Mary (Fred) Schneider of Richmond, Va., Kenneth (Christine) Thomas of Dousman, Helen (Steve Egli) Evans of Metamora, Ill., Thomas Thomas of West Bend, Debra (Brian) Blossom of Graymont, Ill., Traci (Todd) Bult of Woodinville, Wash.; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Vredenburg of Waukesha; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were a sister, Mildred Bollogh; three grandchildren, and two half-brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 11 a.m. at Mealy’s Funeral Home, 320 W. Main St., Palmyra.
Rev. Larry Turner will officiate, and burial will be in Melendys Prairie Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home will be on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
If desired, memorials to Pleasant Valley Methodist Church, the Lung Association or Seasons Hospice are appreciated.
