Raymond A. Qualmann
Raymond A. Qualmann, age 85, of West Bend died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005 at SynergyHealth St. Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend. He was born Feb. 29, 1920 in Iron Ridge to the late Reinhold and Lydia (nee Sell) Qualmann and married Margaret Arbinger on Dec. 4, 1948 in the town of Scott in Sheboygan county. Raymond served in the U.S. Army Air Force in Japan at the end of WWII. Following his discharge he farmed for many years, during which time he worked at John Deere in Horicon. Later he worked as a mechanic at John Deere Implement Co. in Hartford. He was a member of the Lt. Ray Dickop Post #36 American Legion in West Bend.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; eight children, Sharon (Dan) Danielson of West Bend, Diana (James) McDonald of West Bend, Leonard of Slinger, Gary (Reta) of Lake in the Hills, IL, Barbara (Steven) Polenski of Watertown, Cindy Polega of Adell, Steven (Liz) of Slinger and Russell of West Bend; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister, Lorraine Manthey of Mayville, other relatives and friends. Ray is preceded in death by two sisters, Viola Baszynski and Hertha Gentz; a brother, Norman; a half-brother, Herman Kintopp, Jr; and a half-sister, Ella Bittner.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2005 at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend. Burial was on Wednesday in Washington County Memorial Park. Visitation was on Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
Gary W. Reinsch, age 63, of Oconomowoc died at his home on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005. He was born in Milwaukee to Louis and Ann (nee Walton) Reinsch on March 25, 1942. Gary served as an MP in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Okauchee American Legion. He also helped to start the West Allis Ducks Unlimited Chapter.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Phyllis (nee Weber); four children, Gayle Corbett of Des Moines, Iowa, Sue Piller of Waukesha, Kim (Patrick) Williams of Thiensville and Chandra Bauch of Oconomowoc; a sister, Janice (Fred) Selin of West Allis; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Leslie, Jeff, Morgan and Cody; other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents. A celebration of his life will be held at the Okauchee American Legion Post from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005.
