William "Bill" H. Ott Jr.
A private funeral service was held for William "Bill" H. Ott Jr., who died a very peaceful death on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Mequon at the age of 82.
Bill was born on June 13, 1923 to William and Lydia (nee Ramthum) Ott Sr. of Cedarburg. After graduating from high school, Bill enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corp in May 1942. He held the rank of sergeant, serving as a radio operator for three years during World War II. After his military service, Bill was employed by the Square D Company as a machinist. He worked there for 33 years.
Not long after his return from the service, Bill met Dorothy Albers. They were engaged one month after meeting and married six months later. Next June they would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Bill and Dorothy lived their lives as best friends. They were blessed with two children and two grandchildren. Bill loved and embraced every moment he had with his family. Bill was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.
Bill is survived by his wife Dorothy, and children Robert and Kathi (Jerry) Kowaleski. He was the proud grandfather of Kimberly (Jim) Schmitt and Kevin. He is further survived by in-laws, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and other relatives. He was preceded in death by four sisters.
