Willard R. "Bill" Brown

Willard R. "Bill" Brown, 82, of the town of Erin, passed away Friday, Nov. 25, 2005 at Aurora Medical Center in Hartford.

He was born June 16, 1923 in Wausau, to Willard Dexter and Louise (Ryser) Brown, and married Joelyn Kohn on Nov. 21, 1947 at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Chicago.

Bill was a corporate vice president for AAA for many years.

He loved traveling and meeting new people. Bill had the gift of talking and story telling of his many experiences in life.

He loved his family and was so proud of their accomplishments.

Bill was a member of Divine Savior Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two sons, Willard Dexter "Dex" III (Gail) of Bernardsville, N.J. and Mark Herbert (Julie) Brown of Longwood, Fla.; four grandchildren, Karly, Kinsey, Ana and Dana; a brother-in-law, Kenneth (Betty) Kohn of Tinley Park, Ill.; other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his wife Joelyn.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 7 p.m. at Divine Savior Lutheran Church, Hartford with Rev. Ricky Schroeder officiating.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church only on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Interment will be in New Maple Creek Cemetery, Maple Creek.

In lieu of flowers, memorials, to Divine Savior Lutheran Church appreciated.

The Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford, is assisting the family.
