John A. Spenner
John A. Spenner, 79, of Slinger, found eternal peace on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005, at Hartford Health Care Center surrounded by his loving family.
John was born on June 1, 1926 in Chicago, to the late William and Susan (nee Hoffmann) Spenner.
He was raised in Milwaukee and was a graduate of Boys Technical High School.
John served his country with honor during World War II with the United States Army.
After the service, he was employed at Wisconsin Gas Co. in the administration department for over 30 years.
In 1975 on June 13, he married his best friend and love of his life, Irene E. Salter-Wolf, at St. Peterís Catholic Church of Slinger.
John was a member of St. Peterís Catholic Church of Slinger and the VFW Zunker-Held Post 3358 of Slinger.
Survivors include his loving wife, Irene; his adoring children, Donna (the late David) Molden-hauer of Slinger, Pamela Salter of Santa Monica, Calif. and Steven Salter of Slinger; his cherished grandchildren, Anne Molden-hauer of Slinger, Amy (Jamie) Downes of Oklahoma and David "DJ" Moldenhauer of Slinger; treasured great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jeremy, Kaley, and Connor; a sister, Patricia Morgan; four brothers, Eugene, Harold, Thomas, and Lee; other relatives and many friends.
One sister, two brothers and one great-grandson, James, preceded John in death.
A memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 11 a.m. at St. Peterís Catholic Church, 202 E. Washington St., Slinger.
Father Richard Stoffel will officiate, and cremation will take place at Paradise Cremation Services of West Bend. Inurn-ment will be in the (new) St. Peterís Cemetery.
Visitation at the church will be on Wednesday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m.
Memorials are appreciated to the St. Peterís Catholic Church Building Fund.
