Betty J. Prugger
Betty J. Prugger, nee Sealander, of Kewaskum, was welcomed home by her Lord Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 76.
Betty was born May 7, 1929 to John and Agnes (nee Erikson) Sealander in Kingsford, Mich.
She married the love of her life, Herbert Prugger on June 18, 1949.
Betty was a devoted wife of 56 years, a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She loved having her family near, and enjoyed opportunities to share her home with her family and friends.
Amidst Bettyís pastimes, traveling was one of her favorites. When her family was in their youth, they traveled via tent and camper to many places around the United States and Canada.
Later with her daughters and granddaughter, they made a point to represent their family to distant relatives from Seattle, Wash. to Philadelphia at family weddings and other celebrations.
She visited her fatherís birthplace and relatives in Sweden twice, as well as other countries in Europe.
Betty will be remembered for her good heart and devotion to her family and friends.
Those who will forever hold Betty deep in their hearts include her loving husband and best friend, Herbert; her cherished daughters, Jan and David Charland and Diana and Robert Johnson; her treasured grandchildren, David and Susie Ruhland of Green Bay, Dan Ruhland of West Bend, Chad Johnson of St. Cloud, Minn. and Aaron Johnson of La Crosse; and her great-grandchild, Alexis Ruh-land.
She will also be missed by other special relatives, and many dear friends.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, John and Agnes Sealander; her sisters, Gladys Larson and Margaret Bengtson; her brother, John Sealander, and her granddaughter, Heather Johnson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 8, at 1 p.m. at Our Saviorís Lutheran Church, 1044 S. Silverbrook Drive, West Bend.
Pastor Oscar Kraft will officiate, and interment will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation with family and friends will be held at the church only on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Heartland Hospice.
The Phillip Funeral Home of West Bend is assisting the family.
