Richard "Dick" Stahnke
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Oct. 8 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Grafton for Richard "Dick" Stahnke of Cedarburg, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005 at his home at the age of 61. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the service at 2 p.m. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Grafton.
Dick was born in Milwaukee on Aug. 3, 1944, son of the late Emil and Florence (nee Neupert) Stahnke. He married Bette (nee Sokolowski) Stahnke on July 10, 1965 in Milwaukee.
Dick was a coach and umpire for little league in Glendale, and also coached city league in Cedarburg. He was a longtime member of Sheet Metal Workers No. 18 and loved fishing, hunting, golfing and bowling.
Dick is survived by his wife Bette; children Richard "J.R.," Connie (Jeff) Jankowski and Cyndi (Jeff) Wille. He is remembered as "Special Papa" to his grandchildren Maxwell, Alexandra, Elizabeth, Bryce and Aspen; and "Special Papa Bear" to Emily Weidner. He is further survived by his lifelong friends, the Jankowski family, along with other relatives and friends.
