Michael J. Halbauer
Michael J. Halbauer of Slinger, passed away Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005 at his home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born to Peter J. and Carolyn A. Halbauer in Milwaukee on May 23, 1987, and grew up in the Slinger area. Michael was a graduate of Slinger High School, class of 2005 and was active in band, jazz band, jazz ensemble, was a drum major, and recipient of the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award. He also belonged to the German Honor Society. He also received numerous awards for snowboard competitions.
He is survived by his parents Peter and Carolyn (nee Groshek) Halbauer. Dear brother of Christopher. He is further survived by his maternal grandparents Rich and Judy Groshek of Hubertus, his Opi and Omi Adolf and Magda Meinhardt of Erin, his girlfriend Rhiannon Kowalski and her mother Denise and brother John Kowalski, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday at St. Peterís Catholic Church in Slinger with Fr. Richard Stoffel officiating. Interment will take place at New St. Peterís Cemetery following the Mass. Visitation will be at CHURCH ONLY on today from 3 until 8 p.m. with a Prayer Vigil at 8 p.m.

West Bend Savings in Slinger.
