Thomas D. Slaugenhoup

Thomas D. Slaugenhoup, 87, of Kewaskum, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2005 at ManorCare Health Services in Fond du Lac.

He was born on May 12, 1918 in East Brady, Pen., the son of the late Roy and Myra (Heil) Slaugenhoup, and on February 6, 1946, he was united in marriage to Rose Wornardt in West Bend.

Tom proudly served his country in the U. S. Army in the European Theater and in North Africa during World War II. He was employed for many years by Stolper Industries in Menomonee Falls, and he was a member of St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kewaskum.

Tom will fondly be remembered as a great storyteller and for the beautiful roses in grew in his yard.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Rose of Kewaskum; a son, Mark (Jeanne) Slaugenhoup of Kewaskum; two grandchildren, Dean (Kim) Slaugenhoup and Danielle Fountain; four great-grandchildren, Broderick and Sophia Slaugenhoup, Chloe and Chaely Fountain; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Clare Slaugenhoup and a sister, Alma Close.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kewaskum. Rev. Timothy Henning will officiate and burial will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.

Friends may call on Tuesday at the church from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Lucas Lutheran Church or the West Bend Breast Cancer Association are appreciated.
