Elizabeth Van der Linden
A memorial service was held at the Mueller Funeral Home in Grafton on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 3 p.m. for Elizabeth Van der Linden of Dekorah Springs in Saukville, who died on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005 at the age of 86. Elizabeth had an active Christian membership at Ozaukee Baptist Church and many beloved friends. She volunteered in the Womanís Club, Homemakers, 4-H, Project Head Start, the WASP fliers in World War II, as a citizenís advocate, babysitting, as a tax instructor to seniors and in the Christian Peace movement.
Elizabeth was born March 5, 1919 in Oklahoma, to the late Farl Bradie Gibson and the late Annie May Gibson. She married the late Earl Van der Linden on March 10, 1946.
Survivors include daughter Patricia (James) Lewko of Kewaskum; grandchildren Gayle (Steve) Bakos of Marshfield, James Lewko of Kewaskum, Catherine Lewko of Kewaskum and Anton Lewko of Kewaskum; great-grandchildren Amber and Justin Bakos of Marshfield; and sister Mollie Huffman. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; husband Earl; and son John Michael Van der Linden.
