Robert "Bob" Jung

Funeral services will be held today at 1 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton for Robert "Bob" Jung of Grafton, who passed away on Friday, Oct. 14, 2005 at the age of 70. Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church, with internment immediately following the funeral service at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Grafton. Mueller Funeral Home in Grafton is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Bob was born on Dec. 17, 1934 in Milwaukee to Henry and Esther (nee Buth) Jung. He served for two years in the Army after high school, and in 1958 married his high school sweetheart, Elizabeth "Liz" (nee Biebesheimer). They were married at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Milwaukee on May 25, 1957. In 1969, Bob and Liz made the move to Grafton to raise their family. Bob worked most of his life in one location even though the company changed names many times, from Western Electric to AT&T to Lucent. Bob enjoyed the work that he did and the co-workers who became his friends.

Bob served the Lord faithfully throughout his life in the Lutheran church. He enjoyed his ushering and accounting duties on Sundays at St. Paulís in Grafton. He also served on the board of education for a short time for the Christian Day School. Bob loved golfing, bowling and fishing. After retiring in 1993, he was able to spend more time devoted to those activities.

Bob is survived by his devoted wife Liz; and his four children Mike (Shirley), Maggie (Mike) Bikman, Melissa (Greg) Knox and Merrie (Chuck) Henning. His 10 grandchildren, Eric, Sara, Katie, Drew, Tyler, Courtney, Becca, Rachel, Abby and Molly, will miss his love and attention deeply. He is further survived by his two brothers Richard (Audrey) and Roger; brothers-in-law John (Joan) and Fred (Ellen); sisters-in-law Carol and Dorothy (Don); along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
