Clara L. Rome
Clara L. Rome, nee Yach, 91, formerly of Jackson and Milwau-kee, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005 at Cedar Community Hospice.
She was born Sept. 13, 1914 on the family farm near Stevens Point to the late Ignatius "Nick" and Justine (nee Flees) Yach.
On Nov. 6, 1934 she married Robert R. Rome, who passed away on Nov. 29, 1995.
Following Bobís retirement in 1982, the couple moved to Jackson from Milwaukee, where they had been living most of their married lives.
For about the past five years Clara had been a resident at Autumn Oaks in Slinger.
Survivors include a sister, Eleanore Klug of Jamestown, N.D.; a brother, Stanley Yach of Lake in the Hills, Ill.; a dear friend and caretaker, Jo Schlindwein of West Bend; other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon on Saturday, Oct. 22 at St. Peterís Catholic Church, Slinger.
Father Richard Stoffel will be the presider, and burial will follow in St. Peterís Cemetery (new).
Visitation at the church only will be Saturday from 10:30 until 11:45 a.m.
The Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, is serving the family.
